The high roof of Pelion. From the Hania pass and the alpine-club refuge, this loop climbs through beech forest to the open summits of Agriolefkes (~1,470 m) and Schidzouravli.

The walk

A traverse of the tops with a vast panorama, on a clear day from Mount Olympus to Mount Athos, the Pagasetic Gulf and the Sporades islands, past the Golgothas memorial, on marked trails and ski pistes.

Good to know

  • Demanding and high, best June to October (snow is likely November to May).
  • No water on the route, carry your own.
  • Trailhead coordinates to be confirmed before we add the Google Earth link.
