The gentlest walk from the village, and a piece of living history. Until 1985 this cobbled path was the daily route children walked between Pinakates and Vizitsa to school.
The walk
From the square of Pinakates the kalderimi crosses three small streams, passes the 17th-century Sakellari fountain, and winds down through greenery with the mansions of Vizitsa and the sea beyond opening into view. It’s almost all easy going.
Good to know
- Waymarked with red paint and round yellow signs.
- No water on the path itself, fill up in either village.
- Lovely for families; under an hour at a relaxed pace.
- Walkable April to October, and a fine cool-weather stroll too.
