The classic village-to-beach descent in north Pelion. Two separate historic kalderimia link Zagora with its beach at Horefto, so it can be walked as a loop.

The walk

From Zagora the cobbled path drops through orchards and forest to the long sandy bay of Horefto, with sea views opening as you descend.

Good to know

  • Moderate descent (~459 m); can be overgrown in high summer, spring and autumn are best.
  • Waymarked (red paint, metal signs); little water en route, fountains at the church and at Horefto.
  • Trailhead coordinates to be confirmed before we add the Google Earth link.
